New system for patients visiting the surgery in person…..

From Monday 23rd November, we will be introducing a new system for patients attending the surgery.

Patients who have a pre-booked face to face appointment should present at Door A (our main front doors), ring the bell, and wait for a receptionist to admit them.

For all other enquiries, patients should present at Door B (the one that looks into our main waiting area), and press the intercom buzzer to speak to a receptionist. Both doors will have clear signage on display.

Due to the ongoing pandemic situation, it is essential that we minimise the number of patients coming to the surgery.  We are finding that many patients are still coming to the surgery in person unnecessarily with queries that could have been dealt with via other means.  If you haven’t been asked to attend for a face to face appointment, we would request that you use one of the following methods to contact us if you are able to do so, instead of coming to the surgery in person:

  • For all enquiries, please telephone us on 01284 769643 and select the relevant option
  • For general medical or administrative advice, please visit our website homepage and select the ‘consult my doctor online’ option to submit an e-consult
  • Please use our online service or the NHS App to order your repeat prescription
  • Sign up to the ‘Electronic Prescription Service’ (EPS) with your chosen pharmacy – this will enable us to send your prescription directly to the pharmacy of your choice, without the need for you to come to the surgery to collect it.

By taking these actions, you can help us to keep staff and patients safe by reducing the number of people visiting the surgery – thank you.
