Online prescription ordering

Wherever possible, prescription requests should be made using our 24-hour fully-accredited SystmOnline service. To register for this service please ask at reception when you next visit the practice.

The EPS service enables patients to have their prescription sent electronically to their chosen pharmacy, meaning they don’t need to come and collect the paper prescription from us first. This service is more convenient for patients as it saves them an unnecessary trip to the surgery. By using this service, patients are helping the surgery to reduce the amount of paper prescriptions being processed, thereby keeping errors and misplaced prescriptions to a minimum, and in a time of pandemic it also reduces the number of people coming to the surgery when they don’t really need to, enabling us to maintain strict social distancing for our staff and patients. To sign up to the EPS service, please speak to your chosen pharmacy and they will set this up for you or visit the NHS website for details.

Prescriptions will be ready for collection from 2pm two working days after ordering.

Alternatively, requests can be handed in at the surgery Prescription Order & Collection Desk, which is staffed from 9.00-5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Telephone requests for prescription orders may be made between 12.00–4.00pm, Monday to Friday, by ringing 01284 705512. This line often receives high numbers of calls so we would encourage patients to only use this line if they find it difficult to get their requests to us via the surgery.

Prescriptions can be posted to you if requested, for which we require you to enclose a stamped addressed envelope with your prescription request. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for prescriptions lost in the post.

If you want to collect your medication from a particular pharmacy, please telephone them to arrange– the pharmacy will collect your prescription from us and have your medication ready for you to collect. Telephone numbers of local pharmacies are listed below for your convenience:

While Croasdales Pharmacy is conveniently based within our surgery, it is independent from Mount Farm Surgery and we cannot pass your prescription on to them. You need to arrange for collection as described above.

For suitable patients with repeat prescriptions, we can issue prescriptions for up to 6-months’ supply, which can be dispensed at monthly intervals by any pharmacy.

Suitable patients should have repeat prescriptions that are not changing frequently and should be attending for regular follow up or monitoring. For more information, please call 01284 769643 to book a call with your usual doctor.
