Flu season

URGENT UPDATE REGARDING 2021 FLU CLINICS

You may have seen in the media that there is currently a distribution issue with supplies of flu vaccine, meaning deliveries to surgeries and pharmacies may be delayed. We are aware that many of our patients have already booked their appointment in one of our flu clinics (25th & 27th Sept, and 2nd Oct), however we have currently suspended any further bookings until we can confirm whether we will have supplies of vaccine by then. As soon as we have confirmation of delivery date from our supplier, this message will be updated. Patients who have already booked their appointment will be contacted nearer the time if the clinic dates need to be changed. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but hope that patients will appreciate that this situation is beyond our control.

Dear patients, flu season is fast-approaching and we will be soon inviting eligible patients to our flu clinics. This year, our flu clinics will be via pre-booked appointment only. We aim to send SMS messages to all eligible patients with a mobile number on their record. The SMS will contain a link, enabling patients to book their own appointment. To ensure we have your up to date mobile number, please complete this short form:

For those patients without a mobile number, we will be sending invitation letters out which will contain the telephone number for our dedicated flu line, enabling them to call us to book their appointment. This line can get incredibly busy, so if you are able to book via the SMS link, please do so as this will keep our flu line free for those patients who are unable to book electronically.

We are still awaiting guidance from NHS England regarding the COVID-19 booster vaccination campaign. Please do not telephone the surgery with enquiries regarding booster vaccinations as we do not have this information at the present time. As soon as we have an update, we will let patients know.
